Using high-speed compressed air and 3 mm dry ice pellets, it removes stubborn carbon deposits, grease, oil and contamination without using water, chemical cleaning agents or abrasive blasting media.

How Dry Ice Cleaning Works

The HTS828 uses compressed air to accelerate dry ice pellets onto the contaminated surface. The combination of extremely low temperature, high-speed impact and rapid sublimation helps break the bond between carbon deposits, grease and the underlying surface.

When the dry ice hits the surface, it sublimates directly into carbon dioxide gas. Unlike conventional abrasive blasting, the dry ice itself does not remain behind as secondary cleaning media. Only the carbon, grease and other contamination removed from the component needs to be cleaned up.

The dual pressure gauges allow the operator to monitor both the incoming air supply and actual outlet working pressure, helping identify insufficient compressor output before it causes inconsistent dry ice delivery.

Reduced Air Compressor Requirements

The HTS828 has been designed with an optimised air supply system requiring more than 1 to 2 m³/min of compressed air. Normal operation can begin from approximately 4 bar, with an overall specified air supply pressure range of 0.3 to 1.0 MPa.

Important: An external air compressor is required and is not integrated into the HTS828. The compressor must be capable of maintaining the required airflow and pressure during operation.
